Hmmm...I do not ..."Too soon to say still probably"

Hmmm...I do not know about that. The hardest part is over (unless for some reason we have to have another major operation in Iraq).

I think the bulk of the dying is done, while a lot of work remains it is the kind of work that is easier to handle. I think now is the perfect time to evaulate the costs, potential benfits of Iraq being free, and what it will take to keep it there.

as far as democracy spreading, i will agree that it may or may not take hold.Man of Issacharhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01286646646103516828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5773875.post-1107177900402755812005-02-01T03:25:00.000+14:002005-02-01T03:25:00.000+14:00Too soon to say still probably. Another year will...Too soon to say still probably. Another year will give us a pretty good feel for if Iraq will truely become a functioning democracy, although the Election yesterday was a huge success and a very positive sign.

It will probably take 3-5 years to know if Iraqi democracy will spread to the rest of the Arab world which will also go into the equation.

Even if our hopes for Iraq fail though, I will still feel that is was worth it. Sometimes you have to try even when the odds are long and the outcome uncertain.Dave Justushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04139807963654242625noreply@blogger.com
