Ethnic fighting

The Kurds have a lesson to learn from the Jews, although the Kurds have their own experience with war. The Muslims at their heels will never go away, and their state (if they declare independence) will quickly become a security state meant to protect the people. Also, if they win any land in a war, don't expect the resident population to go anywhere and don't expect the countries to take back their refugees anytime soon.

But then again they could learn some lessons from Kosovo, if you are nice enough and are getting slaughtered. The UN might just step in and save you. Although, the Kurds don't meet the requirements to be a nation laid out in the earlier article, the could eventually give 20 or 30 years.
