Apocalypse Now!

Given your choice, which threat to humanity would you choose to face if you had to pick one; disease pandemic, zombie outbreak, alien invasion, rapid climate change, or nuclear war? And how would you prepare? Those of you that have been reading this blog for a few years probably know that I would choose the zombies. Also include your reason. Do you think you would have better chances to survive one, would one be more interesting than another, or would you rather inhabit the world in the aftermath of one specific incident?

The Second Amendment means nothing outside of hunting.

Our forefathers gave us that right to fend off a military takeover in the U.S. - by
either the left or the right.

Apparently, since most gun owners are far right they didn't see fit to fight the far
right takeover so here we are. On the verge of martial law.

You'll imitate your German counterparts of 70 years ago. You'll allow them to take away
any weapon that gives you parity with the military. You know you barely made a peep when
the Brady Bill took away your assault rifles, which is what you'll need to effectively
combat troops.

What a bunch of cowards, and what a sore disgrace you are to our forefathers who gave
their blood for the likes of you.

deanberry,

I want get into a political argument since you obviously have that won (yea right).

Though you seem to be a little light on the facts.

In 1934, The national firearms act regulated machine guns. It established a tax you had to pay to buy machine guns and other regulated weapons.

In 1986 the Firearm Owners Protection Act had a clause in it that pervented they sale and transfer of new machine guns under the 1934 act for cilvilians. You can still get ones made and sold before 1986 (though they are expensive)

The Brady bill signed by bill clinton only affected the cosmetic features of guns and did not affect the funciton (semi vs automatic fire). Machine guns had already been regulated in 1934 and banned in 1986.

Secondly, the AWB (assult weapons ban) has now expired and you can buy magizines with capaticy greater than 10 rounds for pistols and buy rifles with certian cosmetic features.
