he also founded Christian Coalition of America, which i did not know that.

Most people agree that Chavez was shot it would not be a bad thing, but they also agree that it will not help things much either.

What do you think would be the reaction if a former Venezuelan presidential candidate announced on an internationally viewed program that his country should try to assasinate Bush? Are we the only country that has the right to elect our own government free of the intereference of others?

I do not know, and nor do i care. Though I would bet that if any serious measures were taken they would be met with the full force of the US specail forces.

"Are we the only country that has the right to elect our own government free of the intereference of others? "

Nope, but if you would do the research you will see the last elections in Venezuelan were far from fair and free.

America has enjoyed a long history of setting up latin american governments to support its own agenda and corporations. Many of these governments went on to slaughter hundreds of thousands of their own people. All the while, the US continued to provide funding, training, and weapons. By continuing to exert our will at the expense of other countries, we will only be inviting more terrorist acts against us.

maybe if our will did not coninside with the countires we are helping. The fact is that things have changed a lot since that time period. The biggest is that we are not fighting commies on a large scale any more. The second is 9-11 which has forced us to deal with many of the problems you speak of head on.

in other words the Stable approach (which allowed those evils to occur) is no longer the Main MO of the US goverment, though that could change with the next election
